Extract an Object Using Photoshop

For extract an object, there are several techniques, for example, extract by the color layers when the color of the object is united.
To extract an object composed of several colors or a person,
I use another technique.

NB: If you have problems viewing images in this tutorial:
Right click on the white square with a red and click on the "image display".

Open the image you want to be trimmed and start by making a rough outline around the object to be trimmed with the lasso tool.

Click on Select / Color Range.
For this picture click on a red part of the plant.

Click the eyedropper tool+ in the right window color range and click on a yellow part of the plant and also on the top brown of the plant.
The entire plant should appear white in the preview window

The plant is selected, there are some imperfections that we will correct after.
If certain areas within the plant (as the dark parts) have not been selected, click on the quick selection tool, which is common to magic wand tool. Click on the quick selection tool, choose a diameter of 30 such . Use the Quick Selection tool like a brush to select all areas within the plant.

Click on Edit / Copy.
Click on File / New
Check only that the background is transparent, click "OK".
Now click on Edit / Paste.
To correct the remaining imperfections, click the Quick Selection tool, which is common to the magic wand tool.
Click on the Quick Selection tool
Choose a diameter of 30 for example.
Use the Quick Selection tool like a brush and made just around the object as close as possible without touching it. Then click the Delete key on your keyboard to delete everything that has been selected.

If there are still areas (as in the top of the plant), a simple click on these areas, and press the button "Delete" should suffice to remove (for small areas, change the diameter to 5 or 10).

Now, we will reduce the border by clicking Select / modify / border and choose a value between 4 and 10 for example.
When you click "OK" the selection will become double around the object, click the Delete key on your keyboard.

The object is ready to be integrated into a new picture.
In the picture below, the plant is in the foreground.
To give a realistic effect, I clicked on Filter / Blur / Gaussian blur and apply a slight blur to the plant to meet the depth of field of a normal photo.
